Mixing a Gibberellic Acid (GA3) solution is really simple and only requires simple, cheap and easy to buy equipment. Doing a better job isn't just easy, it's also fun!
What You Need To Mix Gibberellic Acid (GA3) PowderFirst, get together the things you need. As well as the gibberellic acid (GA3) you will also need a product to dilute the gibberellic acid (GA3), something to add the liquid one drop at a time and a small container to mix the Gibberellic Acid (GA3). The product we recommend is methyl hydrate, which has given us some wonderful results. Methyl hydrate is cheap and easy to find in hardware stores and is also sold as fondue fuel (less than $3.00 for a life-time supply!). Methyl hydrate is an alcohol, and in small amounts (less than 5%) is very beneficial for seed germination since it removes the kinds of bacteria that causes seed root without danger to the seed. For the container we use small plastic prescription jars that you can see in the next picture. To add the methyl hydrate we also like to use a hypodermic needle without the needle itself. We where able to purchase 10 for $1.00 at the local pharmacy. An eye dropper would also do.What To Do To Mix Gibberellic Acid (GA3) PowderPut the Gibberellic Acid (GA3) powder in the container. With the hypodermic needle add one drop of methyl hydrate at a time and wait a few seconds while gently shaking the container. You will slowly see the Gibberellic Acid (GA3) powder disapear as it turns into liquid. Next, just add water to create the proper Gibberellic Acid (GA3) concentration. Again, to make it easy we have included a PPM calculator on our web-site at PPM.jsp . |
