One study 1 concluded that a spray of 50 PPM

by 40%. One scoop

Gibberellic Acid (GA3) Can Grow Larger TomatoesA study 1 concluded that two applications of 100 to 500 PPM of Gibberellic Acid gave the largest tomatoes, while spraying more than twice did not improve fruit size. 1. http://links.jstor.org/sici?sici=0002-9122%28196210%2949%3A9%3C913%3ACEOGAI%3E2.0.CO%3B2-7&size=LARGE Kelp Extract Boosts Tomato Yield 37%One website 1 quotes "Organic Gardening" magazine states that kelp extract increases tomato yields up to 37%. 1. http://www.mrtomato.com/reports.html Increase Fruits By Over 100%One study 1 applied different concentrations of Gibberellic Acid to tomato plants at different times. The maximum number of tomatoes (77.67) on each plant was found to be when 60 PPM was applied at 60 PPM ten days before transplanting. The second largest number of fruits (71) per plant was also at 60 PPM when sprayed 20 days after transplanting. Plants that were not sprayed with gibberellic acid only had 36.75 fruits. Another study 2 compared Gibberellic Acid to other substances and found that Gibberellic Acid at 100-500 PPM caused 100% fruit-set (the tomato flower "sets" to form a tomato).

After 3 weeks I couldn't see any difference between them and the other plants of the same type. I then used a 140ppm solution of GA3 on the same plants and now, 1 week later I can tell a major difference in the height of the treated plants as compared to the untreated ones and also the treated plants are beginning to bloom. [A.L., User Group - May 28, 2005] Grow More Tomatoes
I used Gibberellic Acid (GA3) at 150 PPM on my tomato
plants 36 days after transplanting.
That was June 28th. When I applied it I had only 2 "Early Girl" tomatoes the size of a
pea showing. Quite a few flowers were about to open on both "Early Girls" and
"German Johnsons" when I applied it. Here we are at 13 days after spraying
and I have 75 tomatoes growing now!!! One scoop
of Water Soluble GA3 Powder 20%
will make 5.41
ounces of
150 PPM solution
at a cost of US$0.17 or less.
Gibberellic Acid at 200 PPMI noticed a big difference in my tomato plants after spraying them with a 200 PPM of Gibberellic Acid. [D.S. - User Group January 8, 2005] Better Tomato Plant Growth And Root Development
I live in Australia and have been foliar feeding my tomatoes with some brilliant results.
Last season I tried a weak mixture(1 scoop to 1 litre)of
GA3 and it actually had a small effect
in the growth and I had good yields but that was with only one spraying.
The RootTonic is needed as well as it does increase the root growth. This year
I add slow release fertilizer to the root area then foliar feed every 2 weeks once I have my first flower set
and I also restrict the bush to 2 stems and have an average 15kgs of fruit from each bush.
